Yes. The Florida Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) Course includes 4 unit quizzes — one at the end of each lesson. You must complete each quiz before the next lesson becomes available. Unit quizzes are not pass/fail — they are comprehension checks designed to reinforce what you have learned.

Each unit quiz has 20 questions drawn randomly from that lesson's 125-question bank. There is no passing score requirement — you must complete the quiz, but any score allows you to advance to the next lesson. You can retake a unit quiz as many times as you like.

Unit quizzes and the final exam are separate assessments. Unit quizzes cover only the material from that lesson and do not affect your final exam eligibility — you advance by completing them, not by achieving a specific score. The final exam is a separate required assessment with an 80% passing score requirement.

The final exam draws 40 questions randomly from the full 500-question bank, which includes all questions across all 4 lessons. Quiz questions can appear on the final exam since they come from the same bank. Doing well on the unit quizzes is good preparation for the final exam.
