How Do I Complete the ITAD Course After Finishing the Texas Adult Driver Education Course
After receiving your ADE-1317 certificate from Driving Logic, complete the free ITAD program at the official Texas DPS website. The whole process takes about 1 hour.
What You Need Before Starting
Your ADE control number — printed on your ADE-1317 certificate from Driving Logic. You cannot register for ITAD without it.
A valid email address
Internet access and a device to watch video
Step-by-Step
Go to impacttexasdrivers.dps.texas.gov
Select ITAD — Impact Texas Adult Drivers (not ITTD, which is for teens)
Register using your name, email address, and ADE control number from your Driving Logic certificate
Watch the 3-part video — about 1 hour total. The three parts can be watched in separate sessions — they do not need to be completed all at once.
Complete the program — after watching all three parts, your ITAD certificate is emailed to the address you used to register
Save your ITAD certificate — it is valid for 90 days. You must take your DPS driving test within this window.
After ITAD — Schedule Your DPS Appointment
Once you have your ITAD certificate, schedule your DPS driver license office appointment at txdpsscheduler.com. All DPS appointments are by appointment only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I find my ADE control number? It is printed on your ADE-1317 certificate from Driving Logic. Check the certificate PDF you received by email after passing the DPS exam.
Do I have to watch all 3 parts in one sitting? No. The three video parts can be watched independently across separate sessions. Your progress is saved on the DPS website.
What if I select the wrong program — ITTD instead of ITAD? ITTD is for teen drivers and ITAD is for adults. Make sure you select ITAD when registering. If you registered for the wrong program, go back to the ITAD website and register for the correct one.
My ITAD certificate expired — do I need a new ADE-1317 certificate too? No. If your ITAD certificate expires, simply complete ITAD again at the DPS website using the same ADE control number from your original Driving Logic certificate. You do not need to redo the Driving Logic course.
What if I do not receive my ITAD certificate after completing the video? Check the spam folder of the email you used to register for ITAD. If it is not there, contact the Texas DPS directly through the ITAD website — this is a DPS program and Driving Logic cannot assist with ITAD certificate issues.
