Can I Take the Indiana Driver Safety Program Course if I Live Out of State?

Yes. You can take the Indiana Driver Safety Program course even if you live outside Indiana. The enrollment process, course content, and completion experience are identical regardless of where you live.

The 4-Point Credit Applies to Indiana Records Only

The 4-point credit is applied to Indiana Official Driver Records only. If you do not have an Indiana driver's license, completing the course will not add a credit to a driving record in another state.

If you are taking the course to satisfy a court requirement, confirm with your court that completing the course will satisfy your order before enrolling.

Enrolling as a Non-Indiana Resident

You can enroll at drivinglogic.com just as any Indiana driver would. During registration, you will be asked to provide your driver's license information. If you have an Indiana driver's license, enter it as normal. If you do not have an Indiana driver's license, let us know and we can help ensure your enrollment is handled correctly.

Completion Reporting for Non-Indiana Residents

Driving Logic reports course completions to the Indiana BMV electronically each day. Drivers without an Indiana driver's license number are submitted to the BMV separately via a different process. This is handled by Driving Logic internally — it does not affect how you take or complete the course.

If a Court Required You to Take the Course

If an Indiana court ordered you to complete a driver safety course and you do not have an Indiana driver's license, contact your court before enrolling to confirm the Driving Logic course satisfies your order. After completing the course, your certificate will be available immediately in your account for you to submit to the court per their instructions.

Driving Logic reports your completion to the Indiana BMV only — not to courts.
