The Florida Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) final exam has 40 questions. You must answer at least 32 correctly to achieve the required passing score of 80%.
What Does the Exam Cover?
All exam questions are based on the material presented in the 8 lessons of the Florida BDI course, including traffic collision statistics and causes, crash dynamics, collision prevention, vulnerable road users, DUI prevention, vehicle safety equipment, psychological factors, and Florida traffic laws.
Is the Exam Open Book?
Yes. The final exam is open book. You may refer to course material at any time during the exam. There is no time limit.
What Happens If You Do Not Pass?
If you score below 80%, you can retake the exam immediately at no additional charge. There is no limit on retakes and no waiting period between attempts. Failing the exam does not affect your course progress.
When Is the Exam Available?
The exam becomes available after you complete all required course content. You must finish every section of the course before the exam is unlocked.
