How Many Times Can I Retake the Florida Basic Driver Improvement Course Final Exam?
You can retake the Florida Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) final exam unlimited times at no additional charge. There is no waiting period between attempts.
Retake Policy
If you do not pass the final exam on your first attempt, you may retake it immediately. There is no penalty for retaking the exam, no waiting period, and no additional fee regardless of how many attempts you need.
Your course progress is saved between attempts. You do not need to repeat any course content before retaking the exam.
Each Attempt Is Different
Questions are selected from the course question bank. Review the course material before another attempt; do not rely on receiving an identical set of questions.
What Happens Once You Pass
Course completion, provider submission and an update to your driving record are separate stages. A certificate email does not prove that FLHSMV or a court has received or processed your individual report. If your record is missing a completion, contact support through the chat on your course site with the course name, completion date and what the record shows. Mention any approaching deadline.
