What Happens After I Finish the Indiana Driver Safety Program Course?
When you finish the Indiana Driver Safety Program course, three things happen automatically:
Your completion certificate is issued immediately
Driving Logic reports your completion to the Indiana BMV within 24 hours
The BMV processes your completion and applies the 4-point credit to your record within 7 to 10 business days
Your Certificate
Your certificate is available immediately after you complete the course. You can find it in two places:
In your account under My Certificates at drivinglogic.com
In your email inbox as an attachment from Driving Logic
Download and save your certificate for your records. It serves as permanent proof of your course completion.
Reporting to the Indiana BMV
If the BMV required you to take the course, no action is required from you. Driving Logic reports your completion to the BMV automatically within 24 hours of finishing. The BMV then takes 7 to 10 business days to process the report and update your driving record.
You do not need to submit anything to the BMV yourself.
If a Court Required the Course
If a court ordered you to take the course, check your court paperwork carefully. Driving Logic reports your completion to the BMV only — not to courts. If your court requires proof of completion, download your certificate and submit it according to your court's instructions.
If You Took the Course Voluntarily
Keep your certificate for your records. The 4-point credit will be applied to your driving record once the BMV processes your completion. You are eligible to take the course again for another credit after 3 years.
