Step 1 — Receive your DSHS eligibility letter

The Tennessee DSHS will mail you a letter notifying you that you are eligible to take a driver education course for point reduction following a speeding conviction. You cannot use the course for point reduction without this letter.

Step 2 — Enroll and complete the course

Step 3 — Receive your certificate by email

Driving Logic emails your certificate immediately after you pass the final exam.

Step 4 — Submit your certificate to the Tennessee DSHS

Submit your certificate within 90 days of your conviction date using one of these methods:

  • TN e-Services (online): Visit the Tennessee e-Services portal at the Tennessee DSHS website.
