What Happens If I Close My Texas Driving Safety Course (DSC) Before Finishing

Nothing is lost. Your progress saves automatically throughout the course. If you close your browser, log out, or lose your internet connection, you can log back in at any time and the course will resume from your last saved point.

What Is Saved Automatically

The course saves your progress as you complete each section. Completed lessons are fully preserved. If you close the course mid-lesson, you may need to redo the current section from the beginning of that section — but you will not lose any previously completed lessons or accumulated instructional time.

How to Return to Your Course

Log in at drivinglogic.com using your email address and password. Your course dashboard will show your current progress. Select the Texas Driving Safety Course and the course will open at your last saved position.

Keep Your Court Deadline in Mind

If you are taking the course for ticket dismissal, make sure you finish before your court's deadline — typically 90 days from when permission was granted. Closing and returning to the course is fine, but keep track of how much time you have remaining.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have to start over from the beginning if I close the course? No. Completed lessons are saved. The course resumes from your last saved point, which is typically the beginning of the section you were in when you closed it.

Does my instructional time carry over between sessions? Yes. Time accumulated during completed sections counts toward your total instructional time requirement. Your progress is cumulative across all sessions.

What if I was in the middle of a quiz when I closed the course? You may need to retake the quiz for that lesson when you return. Completed lessons and their quizzes are saved — only the in-progress quiz may need to be redone.

Can I log back in on a different device? Yes. Your account and progress are tied to your login credentials, not your device. You can return from any phone, tablet, or computer.

What if I cannot log back in after closing? Use the Forgot Password link on the login page if you cannot remember your password. Contact Driving Logic support if you need further help accessing your account.
