Frequently Asked Questions
Can I start the ITAD program before I receive my certificate? No. You need the ADE control number from your certificate to register for ITAD on the DPS website.
My certificate says it will take 5 days — is that normal? Some competitor providers have longer processing times. Driving Logic generates and emails the ADE-1317 certificate shortly after you pass the DPS exam — you should not need to wait 5 days.
What if I need my certificate resent? Contact Driving Logic support and we can resend it to the registered email address on your account.
Should I bring the certificate to my DPS appointment? Yes. Bring a printed or digital copy of your ADE-1317 certificate to your DPS driver license office appointment. It is one of the required documents.
Do I need to wait for Driving Logic to report to TDLR before visiting the DPS? The DPS verifies your certificate using the security features and control number on the certificate itself. You do not need to wait for a specific TDLR system update before scheduling your DPS appointment.
