You can retake the Florida Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) final exam unlimited times at no additional charge. There is no waiting period between attempts.
Retake Policy
If you do not pass the final exam on your first attempt, you may retake it immediately. There is no penalty for retaking the exam, no waiting period, and no additional fee regardless of how many attempts you need.
Your course progress is saved between attempts. You do not need to repeat any course content before retaking the exam.
Each Attempt Is Different
Questions are drawn randomly from a bank of 500+ questions each time you take the exam. Each attempt will have a different set of questions, so reviewing the course material between attempts is worthwhile.
What Happens Once You Pass
Once you pass with a score of 80% or higher, your course is complete. Your completion certificate is emailed to you immediately and Driving Logic reports your completion to the FLHSMV within 1 business day.
