What Happens If I Don't Finish the Tennessee Driver Education Course (Traffic School)?

If you do not complete the Tennessee Driver Education Course, no certificate is issued, no completion is reported, and you cannot submit proof of completion to your court, the DSHS, or your insurer. Additionally, your account access expires after 120 days from enrollment — if you do not finish within that window, you lose access and must repurchase the course to continue.

Will I Lose My Progress?

Your progress is saved automatically as you complete each page. You can log back in and resume where you left off — as long as you are still within the 120-day access window and your court's or DSHS's deadline has not passed.

If your 120-day access window expires before you finish, your progress is no longer accessible and you must repurchase the course at the full price ($29.97). Progress from the expired enrollment is not carried over.

What About My Payment?

Your $29.97 payment is not automatically refunded if you do not finish. Driving Logic offers a full refund within 30 days of purchase if your certificate has not been issued. Contact us if you have questions about a refund.

What About My Court Deadline?

If you took the course for ticket dismissal, your court set a deadline. If you do not complete the course and submit your certificate by that date, your court may not grant the ticket dismissal.

If you took the course for point reduction, you must complete it and submit to the DSHS within 90 days of your conviction date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I complete the course after my court deadline passes? You may be able to finish the course in your account as long as your 120-day access window has not expired, but completing it after your court's deadline may not result in ticket dismissal. Contact your court before proceeding.

What if a technical issue prevented me from finishing? Let us know and we can help document any technical issues on our end. For deadline extensions, contact your court or the DSHS directly.

My 120-day access window expired before I finished. Can I get a refund? Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase if your certificate has not been issued. If your access window expired after the 30-day refund period, a refund is not available — but you can repurchase the course to regain access.
