You must answer at least 3 of 4 questions correctly on each lesson quiz to pass and advance. That is a 70% passing score. This applies to all 5 lesson quizzes. There is no final exam.

If you do not pass a quiz on your first attempt, you can retake it immediately. There is no limit on retakes and no penalty for attempting a quiz multiple times. Questions may vary between attempts as the course draws from a question bank.

Once you pass the quiz for all 5 lessons, the course is complete. Your DS-230 completion certificate is generated and emailed to you automatically.

What if I get 2 out of 4 correct? You do not pass and cannot advance to the next lesson. Retake the quiz — there is no limit on attempts and no penalty for retaking.

Is the passing score the same for all lessons? Yes. All 5 lesson quizzes require at least 3 of 4 correct to pass.

Will I see which questions I got wrong? Yes. After submitting your quiz, you will see your result and can review any incorrect answers before retaking.

Is 70% a high bar to meet? Most students pass their first attempt. The quizzes test the content covered in each lesson — if you engaged with the material, the questions are straightforward.

Does my quiz score appear on my certificate? No. Your DS-230 certificate confirms completion of the course but does not include quiz scores.
