How Do You Get Your New Jersey Defensive Driving Course (DDC) Certificate
Your certificate is emailed to you automatically after you pass the final exam and meet all course requirements. You do not need to request it.
When the Certificate Is Issued
Your certificate is issued after you complete all 6 modules, pass all 6 module quizzes, pass the final exam with a score of 80% or higher, and meet the participation tracking and identity verification requirements. Once all of those are done, the certificate is sent to the email address you used at enrollment.
Check your spam or junk folder if the email does not appear. If you still cannot find it, let us know and we can help.
How to Use Your Certificate
Your certificate is a PDF. You can print it or save it digitally. You may need to provide it to your insurance company if you are pursuing a discount, or to your court if a court required you to complete the course. The emailed certificate is sufficient proof of completion — you do not need to wait for MVC processing.
MVC Reporting Is Separate
Your certificate is not the same as MVC reporting. After you complete the course, Driving Logic submits your completion record to the New Jersey MVC within 10 business days. Point reduction appears on your driving record after the MVC processes the submission, which may take several weeks. You can use your certificate for insurance and court purposes while waiting for MVC processing.
