What Should I Do If FLHSMV Does Not Show My Florida Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) Course Completion
If an FLHSMV examiner cannot find your DETS Course completion record, work through the steps below before contacting support. In most cases the issue is either timing — the record has not yet been submitted — or the course is not fully complete.
Step 1 — Confirm Your Course Is Fully Complete
Your completion is only reported to FLHSMV after all course requirements are met — all 4 lessons completed, all unit quizzes submitted, the final exam passed with 80% or higher, and all identity validation requirements satisfied. Log in to your Driving Logic account and verify that all steps are marked complete. If anything is outstanding, finish it first.
Step 2 — Allow 1 Business Day After Completion
Driving Logic submits completions to FLHSMV through DICIS within 1 business day. If you completed the course very recently, your record may not yet be in the system. Wait at least 1 full business day before visiting an FLHSMV service center.
Step 3 — Confirm Your Certificate Arrived
If you have received your completion certificate by email, that confirms your course is complete and a submission has been triggered. If you have not received a certificate, your course may not be fully complete yet.
Step 4 — Contact Driving Logic
If more than 1 business day has passed since you completed the course and received your certificate, and your record still does not appear at FLHSMV, let us know and we can help. We can confirm your DICIS submission date and follow up with FLHSMV if needed. Include the email address on your account and your completion date.
