After you pass the final exam and meet all course requirements, two things happen automatically: your completion certificate is emailed to you, and Driving Logic submits your completion record to FLHSMV through DICIS within 1 business day.
Your Completion Certificate
Your certificate is emailed to the address you used at enrollment. You do not need to request it — delivery is automatic. If it does not appear in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot find it, let us know and we can help.
Your certificate is a PDF. Save a copy for your records. The certificate is issued in English.
FLHSMV Reporting
Driving Logic submits your completion record to FLHSMV through the DICIS system within 1 business day of your completion. You do not need to submit anything to FLHSMV yourself. Once submitted, your completion is visible to FLHSMV examiners at their service centers.
Your Next Steps
After your DETS Course is complete and reported to FLHSMV, you can take the Class E Knowledge Exam — the written Florida permit test. After passing the knowledge exam, you can visit an FLHSMV service center to apply for your Florida learner's license. You will need to bring required identification documents and pay the applicable license fee.
Once you have your learner's license, Florida's Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program requires you to complete at least 50 hours of supervised driving practice — including 10 hours at night — before you are eligible to apply for a full driver's license.
