Why Is My Texas Adult Driver Education Course (ADE) Not Loading

Course loading issues are almost always caused by browser settings, cached data, or a slow connection. The steps below resolve the problem in most cases.

Step 1 — Refresh the Page

Start with a hard refresh: * Windows/Linux: Press Ctrl + Shift + R * Mac: Press Cmd + Shift + R

This forces the browser to reload the page without using cached files.

Step 2 — Clear Your Browser Cache

Cached data can sometimes conflict with course content. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then reload the page and log back in.

Step 3 — Try a Different Browser

If the course still does not load, try a different browser. Chrome and Firefox are recommended. If you are using Safari, try switching to Chrome. Make sure your browser is up to date.

Step 4 — Check Your Internet Connection

The course requires a stable internet connection. If your connection is slow or drops intermittently, content may fail to load. Try switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice versa to test.

Step 5 — Disable Browser Extensions

Ad blockers, privacy extensions, or script blockers can interfere with course content. Try disabling extensions temporarily or use your browser's private/incognito mode, which runs without extensions by default.

Step 6 — Try a Different Device

If none of the above steps work, try accessing the course from a different device — a phone, tablet, or another computer.

Frequently Asked Questions

The course loads but then freezes — what should I do? Try a hard refresh first. If freezing continues, clear your cache and try a different browser. A slow internet connection can also cause freezing.

I see a blank white screen — what does that mean? A blank screen is usually caused by a blocked script or a browser compatibility issue. Try disabling extensions or switching to Chrome or Firefox.

Will my progress be affected if I have a loading problem? No. Your progress is saved to your account. Any completed sections are preserved. Once the loading issue is resolved, log back in and continue from where you left off.

The course works on my computer but not my phone — why? Some mobile browsers have stricter settings that can block certain content types. Try using Chrome on your phone, or switch to a computer to complete the course.

What if a loading issue happens during the DPS exam? Contact Driving Logic support immediately. We will verify your exam status and advise on next steps to ensure your progress is not lost.
