Before You Enroll — Election Track Only
If you are taking the course to prevent points on a traffic citation, there is an important step to complete before you enroll:
You must notify the clerk of court in the county where the citation was issued of your intent to elect the BDI course. This election must be made within 30 days of your citation date under Florida Statute 318.14(4). You will also pay an election fee to the clerk at this time.
Enrolling in the Driving Logic course does not notify the court. The election step is your responsibility and must be done directly with your county's clerk of court before or at the time you enroll.
If you are court-ordered or taking the course voluntarily, you can enroll directly without this step.
