What Happens If You Don't Finish the New Jersey Defensive Driving Course (DDC)
If you do not finish the course, you will not receive a certificate and will not qualify for point reduction or an insurance discount. Driving Logic does not report incomplete courses to the MVC.
No Certificate Without Completing All Requirements
Your certificate is issued only after you complete all 6 modules, pass all 6 module quizzes, pass the final exam with a score of 80% or higher, and complete the full 6 hours of instructional time. If any of those steps are not done, the course is incomplete and no certificate is issued.
No Point Reduction Without Completion
Driving Logic submits completion records to the MVC only after all course requirements are met. If you do not finish, no submission is made and no point reduction is applied.
If a Court Set a Deadline
If a court required you to complete the course by a specific date and you do not finish in time, that may affect your case. Contact the court directly if you have concerns about missing a deadline.
Can You Resume the Course Later
