What Happens If You Close the Florida Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) Course Before Finishing
If you close the Florida Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) Course before finishing, your progress is saved automatically. You can log back in at any time and continue from exactly where you stopped. You do not need to restart from the beginning.
How Progress Saving Works
Your course progress — completed lessons, quiz results, and time logged — is saved to your Driving Logic account. Closing the browser, shutting down your device, or logging out does not erase your progress. When you return, your dashboard shows where you left off.
The Timer Stops When You Leave
The course timer only runs while you are actively engaged with the content. When you close the course, the timer stops. Time you have already completed is saved and counts toward your 6-hour requirement.
120-Day Access Window
You have 120 days from your enrollment date to complete the course. As long as you return within that window, your progress will be waiting for you. If you do not complete the course within 120 days, your access will close and no certificate will be issued.
No Certificate Without Completing All Requirements
Closing the course partway through does not result in a certificate. Your certificate is issued only after you complete all 4 lessons, all unit quizzes, the final exam with a score of 80% or higher, and meet the full 6-hour time requirement.

Can I pick up the course on a different device after closing it? Yes. Log in from any device with a modern web browser and your progress will be there.
What if I accidentally close the course during a validation question? Identity validation questions must be answered within the time limit.
