No. The Texas Driving Safety Course must be completed in sequence. Lessons unlock one at a time as you finish each one, and the course enforces a minimum instructional time requirement. You cannot skip lessons, fast-forward through content, or jump to the end.

Texas law requires a minimum of 5 hours of timed instructional content. The course is designed to enforce this requirement. If you could skip ahead, the instructional time requirement could not be met and your completion would not be valid for ticket dismissal or insurance discount purposes.

You must complete Lesson 1 before Lesson 2 unlocks, Lesson 2 before Lesson 3 unlocks, and so on through all 5 lessons. Within each lesson, you must work through the content in order and pass the end-of-lesson quiz before advancing.

While you cannot skip ahead to content you have not yet reached, you can go back and review any lesson you have already completed. Revisiting completed lessons does not reset your progress or require you to redo them.

What if I already know the material — can I test out? No. Texas law requires all students to complete the full 5 hours of instructional content regardless of prior knowledge. There is no test-out option.

Can I fast-forward through videos or animations? No. Course content must be viewed in full. Controls that allow skipping or fast-forwarding are disabled within the course.

Can I open a later lesson in a new browser tab? No. The course system enforces sequential access. Lessons that have not been unlocked cannot be accessed regardless of how you try to navigate to them.

What happens if I try to skip a section? The course will not allow you to advance until the minimum requirements for the current section are met. You must complete each section in order before the next one becomes available.

Can I go back to a previous lesson? Yes. You can review any lesson you have already completed. Going back does not reset your progress or require you to redo work you have already finished.
