Alcohol and Other Drugs Covers how alcohol and drugs impair driving ability, blood alcohol concentration, Texas DWI law, zero tolerance for drivers under 21, implied consent, open container law, and prevention.
Cooperating with Other Roadway Users Covers pedestrian and cyclist safety, motorcycle and truck awareness, oversize and overweight vehicle safety, occupant restraints, the Community Safety Education Act (Senate Bill 30) traffic stop procedures, and the Texas Driving with Disabilities Program.
Managing Risk and Human Trafficking Awareness Covers collision factors and risk reduction, distractions, wireless device laws, safety belts and child passenger safety, and human trafficking recognition and reporting — a Texas-required topic covering how to identify potential victims and report trafficking.
DPS Exam The course concludes with the official 30-question Texas DPS Highway Sign and Traffic Law Examination. Passing with 70% or higher completes the course.
