How Do I Submit My Certificate to the Court?

After completing the Virginia Driver Improvement Course, you must submit your DIC 552B certificate to your court yourself. Driving Logic does not submit it for you.

Updated today

After you complete the course and receive your DIC 552B certificate, you are responsible for submitting it to your court. Driving Logic reports your completion to the Virginia DMV automatically, but does not submit your certificate to the court on your behalf.

Steps to Submit to Your Court

  1. Download your certificate from your account at drivinglogic.com, or use the PDF emailed to you after passing

  2. Print it on plain white 8½" × 11" bonded paper if the court requires a physical copy — do not print on colored paper and do not alter it

  3. Contact your court's clerk's office to confirm their submission process — some courts accept walk-in submission, others may allow mail or a drop box

  4. Submit before your deadline — check your court paperwork for the due date

  5. Keep a copy for your records

Does Driving Logic Submit to the Court?

No. Driving Logic reports your completion to the Virginia DMV electronically within 24 business hours of you passing. Court submission is always your responsibility.

What If You Do Not Know Your Court's Submission Process?

Call the clerk's office of the court listed on your court order or traffic citation. They can tell you exactly how and where to submit your certificate and confirm your deadline.

Frequently Asked Questions

My court is asking for proof that I completed the course. What do I give them? Print your DIC 552B certificate and submit it to the court's clerk's office, or follow whatever submission method your court uses. The DIC 552B is the only document the court should require.

What if I miss the court's deadline? Contact your court's clerk's office as soon as possible. Missing a court-ordered deadline can have serious consequences. Driving Logic cannot extend court deadlines.

What if the court says they have no record of my completion? Make sure you have already submitted your certificate to the court directly. Driving Logic submits to the DMV only — the court needs your certificate from you.
