How Do I Submit My Texas Driving Safety Course (DSC) Certificate to the Court
To have your ticket dismissed, you must submit two documents to your court by the court's deadline. Driving Logic does not submit anything to the court on your behalf — this is your responsibility.
What You Must Submit
Your DS-230 completion certificate — emailed to you by Driving Logic after completing the course. Print it or have the PDF ready.
A certified Type 3A driving record — issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety. This is a certified copy of your Texas driving record. Order it at the Texas DPS website. You can purchase and print it immediately online.
Both documents are required. Submitting only one of them will not be sufficient for ticket dismissal.
How to Submit to Your Court
Contact the court listed on your traffic citation to confirm their preferred submission method. Common options include:
In person — bring printed copies of both documents to the court clerk's office
By mail — mail both documents to the court address listed on your citation or the court's website
Online or by email — some courts accept digital submission; check your court's website for details
Each court has slightly different requirements and preferences. When in doubt, call the court and ask how they want the documents delivered.
Submit Before the Deadline
Your court set a deadline when they granted you permission to take the course — typically 90 days from the date permission was granted. Both documents must be received by the court before this deadline. Do not wait until the last day.
After Submitting
Courts do not send dismissal confirmation notices. Allow a couple of weeks after submitting your documents, then call your court directly to confirm the dismissal was processed.
