What Should I Do If the Court Does Not Show My Texas Driving Safety Course (DSC) Completion

If the court does not show your completion, work through the checklist below before contacting us. Most issues come down to missing documents, submission timing, or TDLR processing delays.

Step 1 — Confirm You Submitted Both Required Documents

Courts require two documents to process a ticket dismissal. Submitting only one of them will not be sufficient:

  1. DS-230 completion certificate from Driving Logic

  2. Certified Type 3A driving record from Texas DPS

If you have not submitted both, do so before your court deadline. Contact your court to confirm their preferred submission method.

Step 2 — Allow Processing Time

Courts do not process submissions instantly. If you submitted recently, allow at least 2 weeks before following up. Courts also do not send dismissal confirmation notices — the only way to check is to call them directly.

Step 3 — Confirm Your Certificate Is Valid in TDLR's System

Your DS-230 certificate number can be verified at tdlr.texas.gov/DESSearch. Allow up to 5 days from your completion date for your certificate to appear. If you submitted to the court before your certificate appeared in TDLR, the court may not have been able to verify it at that time — but your documents are still on file.

Step 4 — Contact Your Court Directly

Call the court listed on your citation. Ask them to confirm receipt of your DS-230 certificate and Type 3A driving record, and whether dismissal has been processed. Have your case or citation number ready.

Step 5 — Contact Driving Logic If Needed

If you believe there is an issue with your certificate, contact Driving Logic support. Include your account email address and completion date and we can verify your completion status and resend your certificate if needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Driving Logic notify the court when I complete the course? No. Driving Logic reports to TDLR only. You are responsible for submitting your DS-230 certificate and Type 3A driving record directly to the court.

What if I submitted my documents but the court says they never received them? If you submitted by mail, provide the court with proof of mailing if available. If you submitted in person, provide the date and name of the clerk if you remember. Contact Driving Logic if you need your certificate resent.

My court deadline is approaching and the court has not processed my submission — what do I do? Contact your court immediately. Explain the situation and ask whether they need any additional information. If you have not yet submitted your documents, do so right away.

The court verified my certificate but has not dismissed the ticket — what should I do? Once the court confirms receipt of both documents, dismissal processing is entirely on their timeline. Continue to follow up with the court directly until you receive confirmation.

Can Driving Logic contact the court on my behalf? No. Driving Logic's reporting obligation is to TDLR only. All court-side communication is between you and your court.
