Your ADEE-1317 certificate is emailed to you immediately after you pass the DPS exam. There is no processing delay — the moment you pass, the certificate is generated and sent to the email address you used at enrollment.
Certificate Delivery Is Immediate
As soon as you pass the Texas DPS Highway Sign and Traffic Law Examination with 70% or higher, your ADEE-1317 certificate is generated and emailed to you as a PDF. You do not need to request it or wait for it to be manually processed.
TDLR Reporting — You Do Not Need to Wait
After your certificate is issued, Driving Logic reports your completion to TDLR, typically within 1 business day. Your completion may take up to 5 days to appear in the TDLR public certificate validation tool (tdlr.texas.gov/DESSearch).
You do not need to wait for this before scheduling your DPS appointment. The DPS driver license office verifies your completion using the security features on your ADEE-1317 certificate — not by looking up your record in real time. Bring your certificate to your appointment and you are ready.
What to Do After Receiving Your Certificate
As soon as you have your certificate:
Note your ADE control number — printed on the certificate. You will need it to register for the ITAD program.
Complete the ITAD program — free 1-hour video at impacttexasdrivers.dps.texas.gov. Your ITAD certificate is valid for 90 days from completion.
Schedule your DPS appointment — at txdpsscheduler.com. Your appointment must fall within the 90-day ITAD validity window.
If Your Certificate Has Not Arrived
If you do not receive your certificate after passing the exam:
Check your spam or junk folder
Confirm you are checking the email address used at enrollment
Contact Driving Logic support — we can resend it

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I start the ITAD program before I receive my certificate? No. You need the ADE control number from your certificate to register for ITAD on the DPS website.
Do I need to wait for Driving Logic to report to TDLR before visiting the DPS? No. The DPS verifies your certificate using the security features on the certificate itself. Schedule your DPS appointment as soon as you have both your ADEE-1317 and ITAD certificates ready.
My certificate says it will take several days — is that normal? No. Driving Logic emails your ADEE-1317 certificate immediately after you pass the DPS exam. If you haven't received it within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact support.
Should I bring the certificate to my DPS appointment? Yes. Bring a printed or digital copy of your ADEE-1317 certificate. It is one of the required documents for your appointment.
