How Do I Know If I Passed the Texas Driving Safety Course (DSC)
You have passed the Texas Driving Safety Course when you receive your DS-230 completion certificate by email. That email is your confirmation that all 5 lessons are complete, all lesson quizzes are passed, and the course is finished. No separate notification or pass/fail message is sent — the certificate email is the signal.
What Triggers the Certificate
The course marks you as complete after you:
Complete all content in all 5 lessons
Pass the end-of-lesson quiz in each lesson (at least 3 of 4 correct)
Accumulate the required minimum instructional time
Once all three conditions are met, your DS-230 certificate is generated and emailed to you automatically.
Checking Your Progress During the Course
While you are still working through the course, you can see your progress in your course dashboard. Each lesson shows as complete once you pass its quiz. When all 5 lessons show complete, the course is done.
If You Have Not Received a Certificate
If you finished what you believe is the last lesson but have not received a certificate email, check the following:
Check your spam or junk folder
Confirm the email address you enrolled with is the one you are checking
Verify in your course dashboard that all 5 lessons show as complete and all quizzes are passed
