How Do I Get My Full Completion DE-964 Certificate

The DE-964 Full Completion Certificate is issued automatically after all 12 modules are complete, all 12 quizzes are passed, and the minimum instructional time is met. It downloads immediately from the course dashboard.

How Do I Get My Full Completion DE-964 Certificate

The DE-964 Full Completion Certificate is issued automatically when all course requirements are met — no request is needed. Once the last module is finished and the Module 12 quiz is passed, the certificate generates and becomes available for download from the course dashboard. It is also emailed to the enrollment address.

What Triggers the Completion Certificate

All of the following must be satisfied:

  1. All 12 modules completed

  2. All 12 module quizzes passed at 70% (3 of 4 correct)

  3. DPS written exam (Module 1) passed at 70%

  4. Minimum total instructional time of 1,320 minutes (22 hours) accumulated

Once the Module 12 quiz is passed and all conditions are confirmed, the certificate is generated automatically.

How to Download It

Log in to drivinglogic.com, go to the course dashboard, and download the DE-964 Full Completion Certificate as a PDF. It is also emailed automatically to the address used at enrollment.

Printing — Color Required If Green Background

Before bringing the certificate to the DPS, check whether it has a green background. If it does, it must be printed in color — DPS will reject a black-and-white printout of the green template. If the certificate is on a white or black-and-white template, B&W printing is acceptable.

What to Do With It

Bring the printed certificate to the Texas DPS when applying for the Provisional License. This certificate — combined with the ITTD certificate and other required documents — is what allows the teen to apply for the license after holding the Learner's Permit for 6 months and turning 16.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the teen get the Completion Certificate before the Permit Certificate? No. The DPS exam in Module 1 must be passed to complete Module 1. The Completion Certificate requires all 12 modules to be complete, which means Module 1 (and its DPS exam) must be done first.

The Module 12 quiz was passed but the certificate has not appeared — what do I do? Check the course dashboard and email inbox, including spam. Verify that all 12 modules show as complete. If the certificate does not appear within a short time, let us know and we can help.

Can the teen apply for the Provisional License before getting the Completion Certificate? No. The Full Completion Certificate is required at the Provisional License DPS appointment. The teen must have completed all 24 hours before visiting DPS for the license.

Does the Completion Certificate expire? No. The certificate does not expire. However, the ITTD certificate required for the same DPS visit expires 90 days from completion — the ITTD should be timed close to the road test, not completed months in advance.

What if my teen's name on the certificate is wrong? Let us know right away — the name must match the teen's legal government-issued ID. Do not visit the DPS with an incorrectly named certificate.
