Can You Skip Ahead

No. The course must be completed in order. Each module unlocks only after the previous module's quiz has been passed. Within each module, content cannot be skipped, fast-forwarded, or bypassed. Texas law requires that instructional time be genuine — the course is designed to enforce this.

Why Skipping Is Not Allowed

Texas requires a minimum of 24 hours of active instructional time as part of the driver education requirement. The course tracks active engagement and enforces the time requirement at each section. This ensures the teen has actually worked through the material rather than clicking through it.

Revisiting Completed Modules

While skipping ahead is not allowed, the teen can go back and review previously completed modules at any time. Revisiting a completed module does not reset progress or unlock any content that has already been passed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the teen already knows the material in a module? The content still needs to be completed to log the required instructional time. Texas law sets minimum hours for driver education — this cannot be bypassed regardless of prior knowledge.

Can the quiz be taken without going through the module content first? No. The quiz unlocks only after the module's instructional content has been completed and the minimum time requirement for that module has been met.

Can a parent complete sections on the teen's behalf to speed things up? No. The course account is registered to the student, and the instructional time must be the student's. Completing course content on behalf of a student violates TDLR requirements and would invalidate the certificate.
