What Happens If I Do Not Finish the Course
The Driving Logic Texas Parent Taught Driver Education course provides 120 days of access from the date of enrollment. If the course is not completed within that window, the enrollment expires. A new purchase is required to continue.
What Expiration Means
After 120 days, the course account becomes inactive. The teen cannot log in to continue coursework. Any progress made up to that point may not be retained — a new enrollment starts fresh.
What Is Not Affected by Expiration
If the DE-964 Permit Qualification Certificate was already issued (because Module 1 was completed and the DPS exam was passed), that certificate is not affected by the enrollment expiring. The certificate does not disappear. However, the teen still needs to complete the remaining 18 hours of instruction to receive the Full Completion Certificate — and that requires an active enrollment.
If the Teen Already Has a Learner's Permit
If the Learner's Permit has been issued but the classroom course has not been completed, the 6-month permit clock continues running. The teen still needs the Full Completion Certificate before applying for the Provisional License, which means the remaining modules must be finished — requiring repurchase if the enrollment has expired.
Refund Eligibility
The $59.95 course fee is refundable within 30 days of purchase if no DE-964 certificate has been issued. After 30 days or after any certificate is issued, no refund is available. The $10 certificate fee is non-refundable regardless of circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the access window be extended? Let us know if the enrollment is close to expiring and the course is nearly complete — extensions are handled on a case-by-case basis.
What if life circumstances caused the delay — illness, family emergency? Let us know as soon as possible and explain the situation — we can advise on available options.
Is any progress saved if we repurchase? A new enrollment typically starts from the beginning. Let us know before repurchasing and we can advise on your specific situation.
What if only Module 1 was completed before the enrollment expired? The DE-964 Permit Certificate is still valid and the Learner's Permit obtained with it remains valid. However, completing the remaining course requires a new enrollment. The teen cannot use the Permit Certificate to apply for the Provisional License — the Full Completion Certificate is also required for that stage.
